Re: Fun with the NEX cameras....

Yes I did quiet some. The files can handle it. Probably the photo's got a little softer but I find that no problem for this subject.
And they where all shot wide open.

Well, let me join the fun with some Infrared images from a converted full-spectrum NEX-3.

Congrats, Michiel. Thanks for sharing the precious moment!

Thor, I like "Central Park, New York City" a lot. That's a place I have stood many times, but shown in a very different light!

Spectacular colours Thor . . .
unlike these!
All taken early this morning on the fen, with the 18-200 and no gloves!

I thought I'd contribute, while I waited for the NEX7 that my wife got me for x-mas.... So, I could finally give her back her NEX-5...lol.

Nice photos everyone......Thor, that's a great CP shot.

Here a few "less" frosty pics from today with the CV APO-Lanthar 180.

All the best......R

Re: Fun with the NEX cameras....

Nice pictures everyone!

Maybe an option for those who are looking for an (ultra)wide lens and don't mind the bulk: I just reactivated my F-Mount DX Tokina 12-24mm/4 for the Nex 5n and like the results so far.

"DON'T BE A MAYBE" - Highlight Towers, Munich

Nex 5n, Tokina 12-24mm/4 @ 12mm & ≈ f/5.6

"Inside/Outside" - Highlight Towers, Munich

Nex 5n, Tokina 12-24mm/4 @ 12mm & ≈ f/5.6

Hope you like it and thanks for your interest.

Thanks Rafael :)
Also for coming all the way to the other "camp" to congratulate me

All the best.
I will post again "illegally" in our Bokeh thread. I wished it could be moved to the all camera department.

Re: Fun with the NEX cameras....

Inspired by a lot of good pictures in this thread and some others too, yesterday I purchased secondhand (mint condition) Nex-3 with 18-55 mm lens. Here is one of my first image taken with it:

HI There
Carlos - that Racing Stripes shot is very cool - excellent.
Marq - excellent shot - concentration of expression - really good
Hermann - don't be a maybe! -indeed, and I must try my old Sigma 12-24
Rich - body surfing on a warm day - seems a long way off in our grey winter!
Hosermage - lovely

However - sometimes there's sunshine! And someone things it's warm enough to swim!

Re: Fun with the NEX cameras....

Jono & Rich: thank you very much.
I will say one thing about the NEX-7 - it certain has great colors. I find that I do almost no post processing other than the occasional crop. Very nice files.

Jono - What is it with the WATE and English clouds? I have a shot of Stonehenge that I took with the WATE on my old M8 and the clouds have that same feel.

Re: Fun with the NEX cameras....

Carlos: "Racing Stripes" - nice composition and bold colors .
Marq: Very nice casual portrait, love it!
Rich: To me a great reminiscence of warmer days in the US when I was travelling there three months ago (maybe next time Hawai would be an option :)), very much appreciated now in wet-cold German winter!
Hosermage: Like the composition and the expression, great eye for the decisive moment!
Jono: The mood of the light captered in a perfect way! Very, very nice colours. What lens?

But, regardless of sunny days once in a while here as well, it's still dark and cold over here, so one more from the "Tollwood"-series:

"Winter Tollwood", Munich

Nex 5n, 16/2.8 @ f/5.0 & ISO 3200

Hope you like it and thanks for your interest.

For me, "Winter Tollwood" is the best. Very nice, Hermann! :)
