Re: Fun with the NEX cameras....

Ashwin: Welcome to the Nex thread! And thanks for your sharing your pictures from Argentina and as well thanks to Matt for playing his part of the story :).

Particularly like the "buffoon" with the accordion, got the decisive moment for a truly captivating expression here, a great composition plus a very appealing B&W conversion.

Two every day life captures from the streets:

"Intergenerational Dialogue"

NEX-5N, 16mm/2.8 @ f/7.1 & ISO 250

"Gender Relation"

NEX-5N, 18-55mm/3.5-5.6 @ f/8.0 & ISO 3200

Hope you like it and thanks for your interest.

Ashwin.....I really think that it doesn't matter what camera......or what lens you have in your hands......beautiful captures.

I am curious though......what induced you to bring the NEX 7 on your travels instead of the M9?

Still trying to evaluate this unusual lens Nikkor 55mm f/1.2 (aka CRT Nikkor) on the NEX-7. A wide open sample.

I don't know. It varies. Here is another (also f/1.2. the glow goes away if it is stopped down to f/1.4)

This is typical of the CRT Nikkor (Nikkor O 55/1.2) rendition wrt foliage at ~80cm focus at f/1.2. This lens has a substantial -ve field curvature.

Just messing around with a new lens...

Couple of mis-focus shots, but sometimes focus is overrated ;-)

The Trainer.

NEX-7, CZJ Dokumar 35mm f/2.8

Nice clean files with no CA to worry about (unlike the Sony E primes). :)

Lovely stuff . . . . although I detect a dust bunny at about 3 o'clock on the first two shots.

Our snow is long gone. . . today was springlike, we even sat in the garden for a drink:

The cat insisted on lying on Emma's lap. At this point she wasn't digging her claws in!

this is with the 16-80 Zeiss on the A77
