Contax's odd and quirky Sonnar 100mm f3.5. By the look of its MTF its image circle would cover a much larger frame, corner quality is within 5% of that in the very centre. Exactly 7,070 of them were made, up to around 1995, in three batches. It's as good on the a7r as the FE55. I'll post more from it.

Contax 100mm f3.5 ctd. Being able to use manual focus lenses opens the door to so many older lenses, many of them fully capable of shining on today's (and tomorrow's) sensors. Mine is around 20 years old.

Took the old NEX 5NIR with a Leica R 50mm Cron out for a walk in the Children's garden. Batch processed the raw files through Sandy's latest version of AccuRaw Monochrome to DNGs. Added some light sharpening and split toning in LR and then exported half size jpegs. Very smooth tonality, low noise, and good shadow detail using AccuRaw Monochrome.

A few shots of my son playing flag football. My son is the one in the blue shirt pursuing the quarterbacks. All shot with Sony a900 and Sony 70-200/2.8G. I think that I have reached the limit of the AF on the a900 because sometimes it was painfully slow.

This last shot is of my oldest. He is the redhead closest to the camera who was expecting the pass to be thrown until it was intercepted. The kid who intercepted the ball looks like he is posing for the camera.

Trying out the little M-Rokkors on the NEX 5N-IR using the Phigment adapter. They are working well on both the NEX and A7r.

NEX5NIR on a RhinoCam with 80mm f/2.8 Hasselblad Planar. Eight shot (4x2) Stitch using AutoPano Pro. 113 MP image after cropping. Small image below links to 25% file. Detail is a 100% crop from original (note fly on rock). Tried using the A7r on the RhinoCam and although it will mount in horizontal mode OK, you can only do a 3 shot pano stitch.

Correction. I was able to use the A7r on the Rhinocam in landscape mode to shoot a 4x2 pano. Portrait orientation is not possible because the grip is too thick for rotation.

Thank you Godfrey. It was a first attempt at shooting in this style, standing on a desk to get a higher position, using a moderate ND Filter. It is an interesting technique, and always suprising to see what may come out of it. I plan to try this out with "western style cutting", a special form of working the horse with cattle.

Some more RhinoCam fun. This time with the A6000 and two Mamiya 645 lenses.

A 162 MP stitch from 8 images shot using the Mamiya 150mm f/3.5 N, reduced here to 25% of original size. Two 100% crops follow.

I don't normally take bird pics but this one shows why it's good to have a sharp lens and some pixels to play with on a one inch sensor. 1/1000, f2.8, ISO125 - this is about 20% of the frame.

[QUOTE=scho;583054]Rock garden coming back to life. A6000 + Rhinocam + Mamiya 645 55mm f/2.8 N lens. Eight shot stitch cropped to 122 MP final image and reduced to 25% for upload. Two 100% crops below.

Carl, it's kind of funny. When I see at the full size 25% picture it doesn't look sharp to me. But when looking at the 100% crops they definitely have detail to spare. I asume it is because the Mamiya lens not having enough contrast and teeth. (perhaps?).

Hey, Carl, have you tried the Rhino in vertical position? Is it possible to shoot a final vertical 645 with a little "circus and juggling?

    Thanks for everything

Eduardo, Thank you. I hope you post some soon with the Super Color. I will probably get that one next time. I have the Enhanced color. Super Color should be the most flexible, since you can put filters on it to get to 665nm, 720nm, and 800nm cut off. Also, you have more color info to use in adjustments of the colors for black and white conversion.
