A few shots taken during a visit to Mackenzie-Childs near Aurora, NY. A6300 with the FE 10-18.

    Main office, studios, and shop.

In the shop. Some bizarre wares.

This building is home for the peacocks and other exotic birds that wander around the estate.

One of the many gardens, nice bed of coleus. Cayuga Lake just visible in background.

Former home of one of the co-owners, but now used only for offices.

An old barn at Long Point Winery, just south of Aurora, NY.

Thanks Mikal, I had a bit of a scare a month ago when it was suddenly "dead". Sent it to a repair shop and apparently during a repair of the AF and iris unit 2,5 years ago they wrongly installed an insulation sticker between two boards which caused a short (eventually). So they reapplied a new sticker and it's humming like before again. So no excuse to get an A7 series camera yet

I like it, it's a competent enough lens for me and sharper then my 16-50 and 18-55 kit lenses at 20 mm (I have good copies of both these kits). I think the Sigma 19 is sharper then the Sony 20 when comparing reviews, but it's also a lot bigger (specifically longer) which is why I choose the Sony.

Yes, this is the contrarian view of the bridge, looking towards the other side where the Kina is. I'll have some views with the dome from the other side, might post them later.

Sorry, I didn't visit the TechArt Pro booth. I spent a little time with Sony testing the A99ii (I'm still an A-mount guy at heart) and the rest of the time I mainly browsed pictures and picture exhibitions. Especially the Leica exhibition was impressive this year. They filled almost a complete hall with it.

At the photokina the Sony booth had some models to test the new A99ii. But you couldn't put your own card in the camera or take the pictures home in another way. So I took a picture of her with my own equipment. She looked at me and said: "You still have to make do with an old A850 and an ancient Minolta 85/1.4 G? Poor guy, I'll give you my best smile"

For me the highlight of the Photokina was the Leica exhibition in Hall 1. Very worthwhile to pay a visit there.

Also handling the A99ii is nice and already gives some information by chimping the shots and walking the menus.

There's also two counters in the Sony booth where you can test all kind of lenses (on your own body) or bodies (with your own lens) so you can take the pics home. Only not the A99ii And you can't take them far, have to stay close to the counter for that, but I can see why they do that.

I'm already home in Belgium, so unfortunately no chance to meet. I just spent a good part of a day there (Wednesday 11:00 - 15:00) and for me that was more then enough.

Yep, I also played with A99II, really promising camera, much better, then i expected. Maybe i will buy it in few years to my A850 After photokina i decided, that my next lens will be loxia 21/2.8 + A7rII, its so compact and lightweight, want to exchange my zeiss 21/2.8 ZF, converted to A-mount. So i will get the same quality and picture, but less weight and size.
