Nice snappy contrast and great greens in those St Patrick shots Cindy. How did MF with the Nex work for an event like that? I guess I would have chickened out and taken AF lenses but these pics seem to indicate you've got the skill down pretty well.

Two from me where MF would have worked well, but still taken with AF:

    Plaze España in Madrid:

A street artist that kept looking at me, mainly afraid I wouldn't put my dues in his little can

Nice shots. I am so used to manual focus after years of rangefinders, TLRs and manual lenses on SLR's. I have the focus peaking set to low/yellow, so that is an aid, too. I don't own an AF lens for my NEX right now, but I do have the kit lens coming with my NEX7 this week. At a parade, you could just set the aperture to f/5.6 or 8 and stay in the DOF.

Matt: Quite presentable for pictures taken with a clunker lens (which I own as well BTW and which pleasantly surprised me regarding the results so far - never would have bought such a 11x-zoom for the Nikons ).

Thanks Matt and Michiel! The 50/2 ZM is definitely a keeper as well.

I'm also so far really happy with the CV Nokton 35/1.2, I just got it to replace the Biogon 35/2 ZM which had magenta shift issues. So far I don't see any corner issues with this one, though at 1.2 there is a general pinkish cast over the whole image, which is trivial to adjust for.

Here's one of my favorites from this weekend:

    Nex-7, Voigtlander Nokton 35/1.2

Check out the "original" size to see the detail from this lens - I don't remember the aperture, probably 5.6 or 8 however.

Pegelli: Thank you. And yes it is pretty dirty -- and the sad part is that it's practically new. I'm pretty sure all the grunge was there when I got it. If I'd realized just a bit sooner, I'd probably have tried to return it for one that wasn't quite so dirty.

Beautiful Rich! Both the sculpture and plants, so sharp and exotic!

BTW All my postings in horizontal mode have been fuzzy due to a fault in an action I made for my framing in PS. A drag really. I did repair a lot already.

Michiel - those are great images, but that lens puts off some very distracting bokeh. Especially in the 1st image - the crowd in the background looks like a bunch of "empty circle heads"

Re: Fun with the NEX cameras....

Thanks a lot, Mike. Yes, it is a bit of a - you love it or you hate it - thing.
Although the background can work out quiet differently.
Don't take a picture with a lot of bikes - lots of them over here- in the background, then the amount of circles drives you nuts.
But the lens is very small (without hood it almost looks like a standard 50mm lens) and ables you to really observe people from a distance without being to pushy.
And it is rather sharp for a mirror lens.

    Hey Michiel,
can you post a picture of the lens mounted on the Nex? If possible from above, so I can see how long/big the whole thing is.
I'm searching for a small tele lens for some time now...
    Thank you in advance :-)

Michiel - yes, those images are quite nice for a equiv 375mm f5.6 compact lens!

I'm also interested in seeing a photo of the lens mounted to your NEX-7. This is an interesting travel telephoto option.

Here are two snaps of the Minolta RF Rokkor on the NEX-7.
The second one is with the non original hood. I don't have the original one. The original hood is far shorter. Half the lengths.

I love those bokeh donuts Michiel, very special.

We were at the coast this weekend, and the Nex 5 had my trusty OM 85/2 attached the whole time. All in honour of March 25 being the 85th day of 2012

well jcoffin, should be easy to clean and in a smooth sky like that also easy to heal out (in lightroom at least)

In honour of March 25 being the 85th day of 2012 I also used my pristine Minolta 85/1.4 today a lot:

1: Misty Morning at the beach

    2: Good intentions

    3: Relief I

A few with the NEX from a couple weeks ago. All of these were taken with the Voigtlander 35/1.2 Nokton II.
