Nice shot. I'm eagerly awaiting the A99 to add a FF dSLR body.

I should probably add them over here too though. Only aded it there for people who want quick access to A77 stuff directly. Makes for really easy access for those with A77 image specific questions.

Thanks. It's Yates Mill in Raleigh, NC. The water wheel is actually just on the side of it underneath where you see the reflection. The first shot is of a checkers game I saw being played in one of the marketplace areas in Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic.

    A couple with the A900/Zeiss 135 @ f/2

Loving the color, sharpness and bokeh out of this lens. First shot has a moderate crop. AF was set on continuous, which, considering the subject was approaching the camera at a fast rate of speed as opposed to moving laterally, impressed me greatly. I hope the A99 can do as well or better.

    re: Fun With Sony _____

A few shots of the Gulliver Raiders water polo team practice. Shots were taken mostly wide open or almost wide open, with the a900 and the ZA 135/1.8. Some of the shots were shot on the continuous focus mode and some were shot on the single shot focus mode. Very little post production was done because I don't really know how to do post production work. The shots are 98% of what they looked like when snapped.

The red lighting is from the huge time / pace clock located about 20 feet from that edge of the pool. I didn't de-saturate the reds because that is how I saw the coloring with my own aging eyes.

I really like the way the a900 and the ZA 135/1.8 work together for low light action shots. If the a99 had an OVF I might consider getting it but I am not sure that the EVF can handle low light action shots. What I really need is a FF without a mirror, an OVF, and better high iso.

I managed to get a hold of an A99 RAW file from a camera with firmware 1.0. I ran it through LR 4.2 (reads it just fine including the GPS data - very cool) and post-processed it to see how "flexible" the files are. Here are the results:

(BTW, big thanks to Jim Lin for letting me use the RAW file)

Re: Fun with the NEX cameras....

Recently bought an Avenon 28mm f/3.5 LTM with the intention of using it on my X-Pro 1. Was even thinking about selling the NEX-5N, since it hadn't been getting much use lately. So I figured might as well test the lens on the camera before trying to sell it:

Only took a few test shots so far, but the combination, especially size-wise, is so good I don't think I'll be selling the camera any time soon...
