Figured I'd post this here too, since it fits the topic and folks may not be reading the other sub-forums much. More details on imaging process and subject here.

Fun images from a trip to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat-Po), Bangkok. Didn't have a chance to contact Mr. Edward in BKK yet.

    Edward,

Great snake shots! The greens are just so vibrant. Nothing detracting about noise at ISO 1600 with NR off.

You're right - we call it "Silver Dollars" informally, but it is generally known as Honesty.

I don't claim to be a sports photographer but I couldn't resist this opportunity earlier today. The 70-400 G at 400 mm, f8, ISO 400. Part of a 12 frame sequence. I was standing thigh deep in the water!

    Hi George

Cheers - but I wish though I'd had a more convenient carry anywhere lens with me at the time. I now have a Tamron 28-200mm lens which is an excellent carry anywhere alternative to a larger kit.

    Bill, LoSenior

great shots! I'm no sport photographer, but I was happy with the shot below of a parasurfer in Bali. Taken with the 70-300mm G on the A900

Edward, loved the snake shots and also Albert, Dave Mark and Panya's work. Temples make great subjects of shots.

    Thanks george!

The 24-70 is a very sharp lens at all focals, but more so at 35mm. In fact I like to consider it sometimes as an oversized 35mm prime The bokeh can be very nice certainly, but it depends on the particular settings, distance to background...etc. Sometimes it can be very busy.

Great idea! It would have been wonderful if the lens had clicks at 24-28-35-50-70 settings so that one could leave it at one focal lens at a time.
