Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

^^ I think it's a pity you didn't shoot that with your a7S, somehow the colors of your hacked a7 do not appeal to me at all.
I like the shot as such, but the color rendering totally spoils it for me.

Thanks but I am not going to take that down nor am I going stop shooting in UV.

I specialise in reflected UV photography and this is cutting edge stuff.

I will refrain from sharing this here in the future.

(FWIW, usingthe A7s for street is almost boring for me. It is far too easy)

Don't Vivek, it's just one person's opinion, there might be others that like it. I'm just trying to give my honest opinion on what I feel.

First impressions are, of course, the right ones. I can understand that you do not like the colors but that has nothing to do with the A7s or whatever else. :)

There is a whole bunch technical stuff involved to get these colors and consistently. These aren't random colors. The face of the subject would have been normally grey if it is not for the sunblock that makes it blue-black.

Here is a face without sunblock:

I think Paul (camping) got it. Even many (that is very few) who shoot in reflected UV stay away from using it on people for various (wrong, IMO) reasons. :)

Cool. What does your UV workflow consist of Vivek?

Thanks Vivek, I understand there is a whole lot of complicated technical stuff involved and from an effort perspective to achieve consistent results I can see it's a big deal. It's just that the final result doesn't appeal to me. Maybe I haven't got enough imagination to appreciate the colours that are so far from what I see when I look with my own eyes.

Taken a few hours ago in one of my very most favorite places in all of Cornwall...I just love standing here on the edge of the cliff watching the ocean do it’s thing.
The name Bedruthan Steps is said to be taken from a mythological giant called “Bedruthan” who used the rocks (stacks) on the beach as stepping stones.
Please click on “LARGER” to see the detail from this handheld cropped 16-35mm FE image (27mm sensor cropped to circa equivalent of 35mm AoV)...Many thanks Barry.

I think the Cornish coastline is one of the few places you can visit and be -guaranteed- some awesome images.

If you are Barry, of course! ;)
(Naturally, I am speaking for myself. I am in awe with what Barry comes up with and how he presents it.)

Thanks guys very most appreciated...If you love what you are doing it helps a lot...I love Cornwall as I hope you can see from my images.

..... one of my very most favorite places in all of Cornwall...... Bedruthan Steps.....
And mine. Yes it really is special. And luckily I have great memories of revisiting the Steps last June after 36 years of carrying memories of my former last visit.

[You are still driving me a little crazy with your Cornwall pictures ----- it's exile's remorse on my part, so please keep going].
