For those that enjoy essays in B+W , Ernesto Bazan s book Cuba is showcased on the New York Times LENS website. http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/09/30/showcase-59/
A friend recommended Bazan as having an interesting style and a unique gift for editing and sequencing his images. The book on his 14 years in Cuba was self published last year (I found a copy at PhotoEye) has won a few awards .
In studying the LENS essay it struck me that his sequencing adds significantly to the story....I can t really explain it but its similar to Robert Franks essays ...each image seems to add to the overall impression of the work.
Its worth looking thru.
