John, I cannot say that Texas is especially known over here for its fine dining; your post makes me wonder what we're missing. :thumbup:
These reputations are relics of a bygone day, Lars. The UK was considered a poor place to seek gastronomic excellence. Over the last 30 or so years, fine food and creative chefs have infiltrated every part of the globe.

True, one may have to search a bit in certain areas but it's out there! :)

Have lot's of leftovers. LOL
Me too LOL--so we're having a kick back, chill out left over dinner with close friends tomorrow evening. The 2 couples are kicking in wine and 'whatever'---and we'll enjoy good friends and good food at the end of the year.
