Has anyone else noticed the recent style of photos in some publications? The New Yorker is the most striking example that I have seen. I'm referring to the post processing, not the composition. The pictures seem to have the color and contrast pumped up and generally seem overexposed. It's a striking look, but not a natural style. It causes me to pay more attention to the style than the content.
Is this the new, "in" style for photojournalism?
