Excellent! That R-D1s really suits you. It seems the new lenses are really working for you. It didn't take you long to get that machine humming!:lecture:

Helen,

A nice idea of for a thread and some very strong images to kick it off with.

Tim,

Also very nice.

Here is one from an art fair last Sunday which I hope qualifies. It is called Lambermontmarte in Antwerp and is hosted in a square called Lambertmont plaats and hence the name is a play on the more famous Paris quarter. It was taken with an M8 and 35/2 ASPH.

WOW HANK:

Absolutely DIVINE.....Soooo Expressive
You can FEEL every Shot
as Bruce Gilden said something along the LINE: "Its not Street Photography unless you can smell the Street"
and I can sure SMELL it in these Photos:)
Thanx

Thank You Guy.....The Rd1 is the Best
and I have surprised myself with realizing
what my 'FAVORITE' focal length is
Since shooting with the grd over the last 6 months
I naturally thought 28 would be my fav prime
BUT NO
its a 90 (Love my elmar)

and will probably be SEDUCED by Charle's 85mm Summarex

At present I would love to own
Super Angulon 21 mm
85 Summarex
Noctilux (BIG SIGH)

Best to you
H :)

Helen - if you have the 90 Elmar you don't need the Summarex.
Do you have a 50mm?

as for a 50
I have a 50 mm Elmar 3.4
WANT a faster beast
so I am intrigued by the Canon
50mm 1.4 & the Canon 50.mm 0.95 /creamy, & beautiful contrast
perhaps my next lens

Just to keep things going.... from the Mermaid Parade at Coney Island this past June 21. D300 18-200 VR in strong, contrasty light.

One of the very few times I asked people if I could photograph them. In this case I needed to since they were initially facing in the wrong direction.

Helen, if you are looking at the older fast LTM Canons and would like an 85 don't neglect the canon 85/1.5 II. I've had one since my IIIG days and like it's smooth boken the light way it draws.

I'm still looking for the 50/1.2.

Here's a thread and samples of the Canon 85/1.5.
