Very nice Bondo. I like how the reflection and the window ornaments form an arrow shape. Cool.

Actually had a chicken in the kitchen tonight....oven roasted. I noticed what appeared to be grain on the floor in another picture. Do you encourage the fowl to visit?

Actually had an aunt who's passion was art related to chicken and roosters. I remember growing up with an unbelievable number of paintings and pottery in her kitchen...not a lot of live birds however.

Gorgeous light and wonderful picture as always.

    Cheers,

    Bob

    Very Nice Steen
Slow days are sometimes good days to do something you wouldn't otherwise consider . . . . like piling up the children:

n.b. we had to borrow some other people's children as well.

Or if that's too energetic for you, you could try painting the sheep:

Hmmm - nice shot, everything we drink seems to be out of bottles, and I can detect objections from the neighbours.

Lovely Mediterranean slowness, Steen. The pin thing is more... sharp

The flat beer and soda cans... I bought a decent printer a few months ago, but haven't been using it properly until now. I will print that photo large within a week or two. Just need to buy some larger format paper.

    Re: slow day here...

Second one is lovely, Steen. Is that only one exposure?

    slow mediterranean day ...

Yes, it is a single exposure, though I actually did three or four slightly different EVs and just picked the best one that kept the darkness of the shadows while still showing at least some details and textures.

Then I added a bit of brightness to the very darkest areas on the tree trunk by using the so-called Color Control Points in Capture NX.

I like trying to capture the darkness e.g. in deep shadows or the dull light at dusk (on a slow day) or the darkness at night etc.
