Very cool Jim. Beautiful work. Will we all have these in a few years? I have a watch that runs on light energy, and maybe someday we will have cameras that don't need chargers. Nostalgia can be fed by new technology too.

so far solar is not too practical as far as return on investment, but the unit we made is certainly cool! It looks like it will lead to more (it was a prototype) that can be linked together to form a larger faceted roof as well. Also coming some two bay (the carport is a 4 bay) vertical units topped with street lamps on a 40' high single post, a series lining a roadway.
