Destination Wedding Japan and Camera Porn

I just finished up photographing a wedding in Japan and wanted to share a little. Incredibly classy wedding and wonderful clients. I didn't have much time to explore Japan, but did enjoy what time I did have to myself. Beautiful place and friendly people. I did have time to drop into the Yodobashi Camera Store----conjures up images of the ultimate in camera and electronic toy porn store. Very overwhelming place to visit.... I think it was about six stories of electronics...my eyes glazed over as I wandered the aisles....

Just a few images:

1. Camera section.
2. Film! What's that?
3. 103" flat panel TV
4. One from the wedding outside the New Sanno Hotel after the reception

I wanna go back again to visit!

Ken,

So when does that 103" flat screen get delivered to your studio?

Ken called me while he was at the store - something about a loan?:D

Actually he wanted me to check into checked baggage rates :ROTFL:

Is it possible that Ken tricked a client into paying for a trip to Yodobashi, and while he was in the area he shot their wedding to keep everyone happy?

:D

...the only saving grace was that there was very very very little by way of medium format cameras/equipment.....

They had a special section on Pioneer Plasma televisions---and now I know why everyone says Pioneer is the top-dog. I'd take one of those over the 103" panel.... Saw a super thin Sony OLED television---small and expensive.

Glade you're back home safe.

What little goodies did you bring back with you - or would you rather have the conversation over the phone?:ROTFL::ROTFL::ROTFL:

Hi Ken,

I love big screens :toocool:, always wanted something like that, but if I got that right, this translates into something like USD 58K. Gulp.

All of the sudden I am very happy with our 42 inch now.
