While he considers himself a “Fine Art / Landscape” photographer, Jack has photographed for commercial and corporate clients, led several fine-art photographic workshops, and instructed novice through advanced photographers in a variety of photographic venues. Jack’s work has been exhibited in galleries from California to New York. Jack began in the 80’s using medium format and 4x5 film cameras, but has now migrated to the digital workflow. Jack currently uses Canon digital SLR’s and Epson Wide-Format printers. Jack lives in Los Altos, California.
Jim Collum
Jim started photography in the mid 80's, using primarily 4x5 view cameras with an interest in landscape. He printed his own work, focusing primarily on Cibachrome printing, where he learned the in and outs of transparency contrast masking. He has since moved out of the chemical darkroom and into the digital, working with a Canon 1Ds2, and printing on Epson Wide-Format printers for color and B&W. The focus is no longer constrained to landscapes, but photography in general. Jim lives in Santa Cruz, California.
Uwe Steinmueller
Uwe Steinmueller (born 1947) started his photography in Germany 1973. He shares a joint copyright with his wife Bettina. First Exhibitions 1978 in Bremen, Germany with photos from Venice, South Tirol, Germany, France. Move to California in 1997, Working seriously on digital photography since 1999. Uwe is today very much also focussed on the digital workflow, raw file processing and the printing process (color and B/W on large format Epson printers with archival inks). Uwe is influencing today many different imaging tools as part of the early testing of these products.
Guy Mancuso
Guy Mancuso considers himself on the digital edge of commercial photography and his work shines with his creativity and eye for detail. In his 30 years as a freelancer and Fortune 100 photographer, he has perfected his innovative techniques with acquired expertise in the advertising, commercial, industrial and corporate markets. Educated at the School of Visual Arts in New York and the Art Institute of Atlanta, he has traveled the world shooting annual reports, advertising, public relations and marketing materials. Guy brings his skills to a diverse clientele that ranges from ad agencies and graphic designers to manufacturers and companies, large and small. Guy lives in Phoenix, Arizona.
Mike Hatam
Mike Hatam is a semi-professional photographer living in the Bay Area. Mike has had a keen interest in photography for nearly 30 years, but immersed himself fully into digital imaging in its early days. Mike is accomplished in all aspects of digital image processing and enjoys all types of photography. His specialties are fine-art landscape, travel and sports images. Mike is also an avid fly-fisherman and often combines his passion for fly-fishing with his passion for photography, creating unique scenic and action shots along the wild rivers of the Western United States. Mike uses Canon digital SLR's and Epson printers.

Each instructor has their own unique artistic style and individual areas of expertise which provides workshop participants with added breadth during the image review and field shooting sessions. It should be further noted that Jack, Jim, Mike and Guy know each other well, and while they have worked together on serious collaborative projects they also enjoy shooting with each other "just for fun" whenever the opportunity presents itself.
