Photographing your Bokeh

"Singular Leaf"
It's been a while since I've posted here. Most of my shots have a heavy emphasis on Bokeh, but by the time I've layered it with my textures, then it seems more suited to the Blends thread. Any way, here is one I did tonight.
Mike
Hi Mike,
I see some nice bokeh in the background behind the "singular leaf". The combination of the Bokeh - Blends looks so natural to my eyes! :)

Leica 77... I missed that image of yours with the red Japanese Maple leaves.... I so agree with Tesselator, that one is really stunning. Fantastic image!

Not so much bokeh with this one, but it goes with the truck bokeh set

These fast legacy lenses are so addicting; it seems all I'm thinking these days is
bokeh, bokeh, bokeh! ;) My Panny lenses are feeling totally left out in the cold!

Don

Hey Don, nothing wrong with bokeh, bokeh, bokeh. Love your images, this one is my favorite. Very subtle B & W

Hi Keith! Thanks for the comments and I'm glad you appreciate the images. The image you selected is also one of my most favorites from the other day of playing with bokeh.

This is really just so much fun.

Funny realization I'm having... I could do the same bokeh stuff with my 5DMkII and lenses, but I just don't, for some reason. But there is something about the m4/3 system that motivates and invites me to take up the gear and shoot for the fun of it. I don't use the big Canon gear for the "fun" of it, just for work, really. If I didn't need all my Canon gear for work, it would be gone and I'd live happily with m4/3.

Thanks Sea-kayaker-Dan and Leica...

Leica, I see you have a little collection of Biotars going... Sweet!

Great set Don! Really nice! They seem to compliment each other so it's hard to pick one out from the others.

Tesselator.... many thanks for your comments. I appreciate it. And may I mention as well, those images you posted elsewhere of the birds with your Tokina lens were simply stunning!

Regarding your 85/1.2, do you miss that lens? I'm sure I would... if I ever had one! You've done some stellar work with it.

Paul... very striking hood image... cool stuff.

Hope shots from older 4/3 gear are welcome!

I think any camera/lens combination is welcomed on this thread, Lili. I have posted stuff with anything from my Yashica plastic, m43, to my Sony A55. The bokeh is the important bit.

This is another lovely cat portrait from you - I'm thinking of sending Bennie to you to get his picture done.

Keep them coming Klaus - you are a few months ahead of us, and we need something to look forward to.

These old c-mount lenses have almost a mystical bokeh - would work well in "Alice in Wonderland"

Woodmancy.... thank you, my friend.

Lili... cool cat! I had a tiger tabby like that for almost 20 years. I miss her.

Klaus... the bokeh from that c-mount is fantastic.

Paul... you and I are walking a very similar path. I have a metal bench in
a roman temple (my 3d image above) on my property where I made some
bokeh images the other day that you might relate to... complete with fine
strands of spider web
