Yesterday, I received a "new" lens that I bought from Ebay.
Another Carl Zeiss Jena lens, a Biometar 120/2.8, in Exa/Exakta mount.

Here's two examples I shot this morning with the G1

Lovely Rafael, this lens has been on my radar for a long time but I always had mixed feelings about it. This looks really nice! You see them mostly in Pentacon mount. I have the Biometar 80/2.8 and Sonnar 180/2.8 in Pentacon mount. Both have lovely quality too. But that Sonnar is so huge, you can't find your camerabody anymore.

Simon, I love your "Dandelion Head" ! Superb !!

Thanks, Michiel. This Biometar 120/2.8 is indeed a big lens, but not as big as the Sonnar 180, I think. I would love to find also a Biometar 80, like you already own ;), but they are rather hard to find !

No worry, I'm expecting delivery this week of another beauty/rarity that I bought during the weekend. Stay tuned !!!

Very nice! There is a lot to like about that lens.

Beautiful Klaus

I know someone must have mentioned somewhere in this thread where one can get and adapter for the FL lens mount to my E-3. Would you mind telling me again.

The announced new lens arrived.
It's a Kilfitt Macro-Kilar 40/2.8 from the Liechtensteiner manufacturer Heinz Kilfitt Kamerabau Anstalt Vaduz.
I bought it in a M42 mount, for which I already own an adapter.

Here's a few pics from the first shoot !

The Trioplan continues to amaze me. It produces contrasty images that are razor sharp and usually don't require much PP sharpening. For flowers it's often my first choice. It was definitely one of my best auction purchases.

Marvelous images, everyone. The quality and consistency is amazing to me.

This one is a little different, it is called "At Last" (in anticipation of a final end to our stinking winter and spring - and I'm saying this in June??, well almost)
Mayer-Gorlitz Trioplan 100/2.8
