AF confirm adapors + legacy lens on regular 4/3 bodies

Hi

I've got a G1 so know nothing about the issues with "regular" 4/3rds bodies and legacy lenses. My father inlaw is thinking of getting a e420 Olympus and I was wondering (before I open my mouth) if the focus confirm chipped adaptors work with legacy lenses (like OM or Nikon, I understand that FD won't work) and what people think of them?

Thanks

Thanks Ray ... that's what I thought. Its a pitty the FD lenses won't focus to infinty on the regular 4/3 system ... I could give some nice lenses to him to augment his purchase.

I have one with my Digital Rebel, and find it works pretty well. The Rebel itself has somewhat so-so focus accuracy, but using the AF confirm adapter is fairly smooth once you get used to it. At one point I tried it with a Rebel Xsi with live view manual focusing, and found the AF confirmation adapter easier for most shooting than trying to focus with the live view.

Is such a thing possible (AF confirmation) on a Micro 4/3? I guess not, since the camera tries to find maximum edge contrast and then declares the subject is in focus, so it necessarily involves some hunting that we couldn't really do for the camera.
