    G1 and GF-1 sensors

    Hi

I've been looking at the GF-1 and considering getting it (and the 20mm pancake) when I noticed in the dynamic range sections of the respective reivews of G1 and GF-1 on dpreview something interesting:

which makes me wonder if they've changed their tests or if the GF is that much better. I guess that its about a stop wider..

Maybe Panasonic changed their jpeg tone curve?

    Cheers

    Hi Brian

I suspect more than that, as the RAW files are significantly different. My Silkypix will not open them either

and if those graphs ARE based on JPGs then DPReview is publishing shyte

Keep an eye on it and they may change it.

After Bob pointed out here that their 20/1.7 MTF values showed performance over the Nyquist freq. (@f/1.7) on G1, they changed it and brought it down.
Everything is subject to change (if anyone raise suspicions that is).

    Shyte they publish. Yes, indeed.

Aren't dynamic range tests a bit subjective anyways?
