Interesting these new TS reflections Mike!

Brings me on ideas concerning this Windowdressing series I am doing on the Ricoh department.

BTW Could be a nice camera for you to GXR with M mount. 16 MP version is coming soon.

    Thanks Michiel and Keith.
The Ricoh with the GRX is tempting or the new Nex-7.
I am looking for a larger sensor camera. Lots of choices.

    Plaza Panoramic
I was commissioned to do a view of the Plaza. After spending time walking around looking for a good vantage point, I decided to just take a couple of wide views and see if I could combine them in some manner. I didnít care if it was a realistic view, but more of an impression. Iím making a print of this that is 7 ft long. It will be mounted on a board and coated with wax.

This is a combination of 3 photos in the woods. I also used the App, Snapseed to do the color. One of the images is from my iphone and the other are from the Olympus EP-2.

ďWhite Roofs Reflecting Under A Dark Sky, Plane Flying ByĒ

Here is another shot from my flight home. The sky was so dark, but the sunlight still managed to break thru the clouds and light up the roofs below. This one was also with the iPhone. The title is in honor of the painter William Turner, who used to have long descriptions for his titles.

Thanks Keith, I think in this one, I prefer the color as well, at least today. Can't take credit for the idea though. I saw this photographers work and thought of applying it to my tree series. Idris Khan - Artist's Profile - The Saatchi Gallery
I'm going to keep working with this idea and see how I can make it relate to my other work.

I tried a couple like that, but for me there wasn't the abstractness that I am looking for. Maybe they should be way out of register?

    Re: Blends

Uwe, i really like the second one. The others are over-cooked for my taste.

This has been an educational thread. Following it along has made me realize that my preference is for images where the blend effect is not the story, but the effect enhances the photo.

In an earlier post someone mentioned Mark Tucker. The blend gold standard, in my view.

Accordion Man playing in the subway.

Here is an old image revisited using the App Snapseed. This guy was playing the accordion in the Paris subway. This one was originally shot with b&w film then the print was put on a copier and then a color copy transfer was made.

Here is the version that I did using the Snapseed app. Added some color and soft focus. I might do another version. Keep the color but lose the soft focus.
