This is actually shallow moving water at the beach (strong sunlight). Silver Efex Pro 2 pulls out a lot of detail that you at first don't see with your eyes.

My funny eyes seem to want this as a vertical image; when I turn my head over to the right to appreciate this I get the feeling this is the correct way up ...

Maybe, It was intentionally shot slightly tilted.

Here is a reworking of a shot from a couple of years ago. Made this into a panoramic 30"x76" with encaustic wax applied. I sold this to a corporate client to hang in the lobby. The original was a square. What would I do without photoshop!
