E-P1 with Russian Industar-50 f3.5

Hi. Two days ago I got M4/3-m39 adapter, so I can use my first lens I have with my very first camera Zorki-6. From first shooting it seems very nice. Adapter allow infinity focus. I was sceptical about picture quality untill I tried the lens. I think I will purchase more Russian M39 lens.

Nice contrast & colours! I also have several old KMZ lenses, and they mostly all work well on my E-P1 (the Jupter-12 won't fit of course, and I must have a poor copy of the Jupiter-9, or in need of a large hood: it flares like crazy!).

personally I think its hard to make a 50mm f2 lens that isn't good. I'm sure you'll be quite satisfied with the other russian lenses, as long as you don't want wide.

Having said that I'm thinking of trying the zenitar 16mm as a candidate for a shift lens. Should have the coverage

yehh...I have a jupiter 3 KMZ '58..., a jupiter 9 '88, both are gems on the G1. I use heavystar 1.5" hood on both...Love t' old school sonnar LooK.

I will probably buy Jupiter-8, which is 50mm f2 lens. I found one with together with Zorki 4 for 5€! Then I will look for Jupiter-9. I now that old wide lenses are bad on m43. For that I have 14-42 ,and will wait for new m.zuiko 9-18.

This cat picture is nice. It is not easy to find Jupiter 3 in Serbia, but might try.

Hi,

Nice series; I just published a few minutes ago a series with the Zenitar 16. Sometimes it needs a slight distortion correction in Raw conversion. I guess that is not more than what Pana and Oly do automatically in-camera.
