I've posted this image before, but this is a reprocess.
Taken with the G1 and a venerable Fed 50/3.5 collapsible.

Typo? I'm no expert, but I thought the Jupiter 8 was a 50mm Zeiss Sonnar copy (pre-war), and the Jupiter 9 was 85mm.
    Best regards,
    John.

You are right, of course, it is the Jupiter 9. It was a typo.

Keith, if you get a good copy, it is incredible how good these lenses can be. Particularly on the G1, where there are no rangefinder coupling problems. On the M8 I never managed to get a sharp image with the above Jupiter.

    Cheers

Peter, this is a good idea for a thread. These FSU lenses are still a bargain, and are very good. I have a few, I will try to get some more images up soon.

The Russian Zenitar is basically a Fish Eye lens, but the central part that covers the m43 sensor is nearly linear. To correct straight lines near the border, a slight distortion correction can be applied during Raw conversion.
