I just realised that we have no "orchid" thread, although I'm sure that at least one participant here goes a long way to shoot them

Yesterday, in the botanical garden in Leuven, I shot these

All with G1 and Nikkor 180/2.8

Hi Rafael:

Very nice images. I really enjoy your Leveun pictures since I used to travel there on business for my previous job. The botanical park was one of my favourite locations; I would go there to relax after work.

Below is a yellow lady's slipper. They are relatively rare, but in some locations, in moist woods or bogs, they can be quite common. This was found about three hours north of my home, in Ontario's Bruce Pennisula. They were growing like weeds along the roadside.
Taken with a G1 and 14-45 zoom at 45 mm.
