    Creating Textures for Blending

At this forum we have 2 threads that cover Blending in a very good way.

To make good blended images you need high quality and high resolution textures.

    Here is a sample:

This is direct photo. I then use Photoshop to create derived textures.

Please share your way to create textures.

Nice texture. How much photo and how much manipulated (e.g. border).

    Old Fence (photographed 1/13/2010)

I like to photograph textures with Macro. Using the 5D2 because the texture should have a high resolution. I can make is more coarse texture by using crops but not finer than the original resolution.

Will try to have a macro lens on one camera with me now most of the time.

It is 2 shots put together. A scratch texture and a border which was done on a white board.
