    Roman Snails, Coploe Chalk Pit

Coploe Chalk Pit in Cambridgeshire is a nature reserve made in a chalk quarry which dates back to the 15th century. When I visited it a few weeks ago it was full of large, Roman Snails (the escargot variety) which are a protected species in the UK. I had to go back with the 7-14 to get the shot I wanted.

Thanks Louis, if I may be allowed a small correction it's the Singapore Flyer and not the London Eye. Anyway, in the spirit of your post, here are some more 7-14 examples:

Glen #2 is a very unusual and dramatic shot. Well done. I also like the others but that one stands out for me.

PS Sorry about the confusing the Singapore Flyer with the London Eye.

Raf - awesome shots. I like the combination of the dramatic perspective and the soft black and white processing. Well done.

Great photos from everyone.. Wish I could justify the cost of the 7 - 14!! Just would not get a chance to use it as much as I would like.

The 7-14 is a bit of a luxury. Now I've got one I use it but we've all forgotten that 28mm is plenty wide - and the new 28/2.5 is a lot more affordable.

    Hi Keith,
Many thanks for your kind comments! Your observation is quite astute. Using Lightroom, the reflected portion of the image was desaturated. As you did with your "Niagara Fall's Bokeh" shot, I also rotated the image 90 degrees. Best regards,

I really want to pick this lens up and I found one for sale but I'm hesitant for some reason. I'm really happy with just the 20mm, and I was intending to get the 14mm pancake.

How much do you guys love this lens?

    Hi agoglanian,

To comment on your inquiry, I say I really enjoy recording images with the 20mm compact and the 7 - 14mm super wideangle zoom. These lenses are always in my camera bag now. Like the 20mm compact, the 7 - 14mm lens can produce fine sharp images. Check out some beautiful images recorded with the latter lens by Rafael in this Forum. His images are inspiring and convinced me to purchase the 7 - 14mm lens in the first place. I noticed recently that Sigma has introduced a 10 -20mm super wide-angle lens for micro 4/3 cameras. It seems like a good alternative to look into since this lens can accommodate a filter for the protection of the front lens element.
