Remote shutter release will never work on EPL1

Hi,


I just wanted to confirm what I read on another forum. Apparently remote shutter release will never function on the EPL1, itsd not a firmware issue but hardware related. This really sucks if Oly deliberately crippled such a simple feature that is very useful.

I have tested my remote release/intervalometer and it works perfectly with the EP-1 but not at all with the EPL1 even though both have the USB port.
