Panasonic 20mm Filters and Step Rings

Hi, anyone know how many 46mm Filters can be stacked on the Panasonic 20mm before vignetting occurs?

Also anyone had success with cheap step rings from China? I have read reports that they can catch the lens and cause problems and its best to use a 46mm extension. But I would like to cut the extension out if possible and have less bulk on the lens.

    Cheers

I don't use 46mm filters. I have a 46-49mm stepping ring and use Cokin P filters. I chose the 49mm size so I could use an old Olympus 28mm lens hood from time to time.

Where did you get the step ring from? Does it interfere with the lens at all? Some reports say the lens wont park when switching off the camera and gives an error message and may damage the lens some how.

See how the filter thread part parks inside the outer casing slightly. I dont own the lens yet but would like to order the step rings ready for when I do.

    Cheers

I use a 46->52mm step up ring and it works fine.
