A William Optics Megrez ED refractor. Relatively compact. Seeing conditions were a bit rough, but ok. Used with the G1.

Hey! It could have been. More or less at 1/250th. But no, it was a tripod.

Here's a hand-held shot. Just kidding. :)

Got a picture just like that, hand-held GF1 20/1.7. Deep breath, real slow exhale and it turned out sharp :)

Come next week and clear skies and I should have a 400/6.8 Leica Telyt pointed at that subject. 'Course, it's not 498...

I think that's as fine a moon shot as I've ever seen.

That second shot was actually through a lowly 1000 f8 achromat (not an apo) I built for about $300.00. But seeing conditions are everything with a scope that large, if they are unsteady (twinkling stars) the shots will blur.
