    Few close-ups

All were taken with a 20/1.7 (I could not find other lenses that would have allowed for closer look at that time).

Tamarindus indica- the seed is about a cm long and the tree goes on to become a sprawling (several meters high and in diameter) mini giant.

    Hi Vivek,

Were you using a macro kit on these photos? The first one has a REALLY shallow DOF even for the 20mm f1.7.

    Nice photos btw.

    Re: Few close-ups

    Thanks, Rafa.

I had at that time (only found that out later. the whole thing was buried in my back pack) an Olympus pen F 40/1.4 and a Leitz Macrotar VIb. This combo would have got me closer (to ~1/2X).

All shots were done using the 20/1.7 with no added doodahs. The first shot was at the minimum focus distance and at f/2.2.

Very nice! And here I thought you hated that lens unless you used it reversed =).

    Re: Few close-ups

Everything depends on the light and its composition. I still would reach out for my pen F 38/3.5 here (which I did not carry with me to India).

    Thanks, Dragos.
