Sacrified Fuji 50mm f1.4 and c-mount to mount it

Removed the retaining ring from the lens and it bottomed-out properly into the c-mount adapter and focused at infinity, but the c-mount ring from the lens was free-floating without the retaining ring. So, I used Weld-bond epoxy and attached the threaded part that held the retaining ring to the adapter body. It worked. But now of course it is a unified unit.

Worth the effort, time and money, IMO. Fabulous lens!

Any images using it?:)

Congrats!

Working on something similar with mine. I'm looking to see if I can just sacrifice a camera cap to epoxy the mounting flange unto the rear lens adapter. Once I clear up my workspace it's my next project. Just mounting it as-is on my Kipon C-mount adapter it looks like a winner. Can't wait!

I think some flat-faced camera caps would be nice to have, there are so many lenses out there that could benefit.
