    Apologies if this is a repost, my original post doesn't appear to have been saved.

    My initial reaction to the samples was - yuck - but then I downloaded a full size jpeg and processed it in LR3. This is at iso3200.

    Those samples show noticeable noise, even at 400 ISO. The lack of colour blotching at 1600 and 3200 ISO shows that they were subjected to heavy in-camera processing. My D300 is noticeably better and it is no spring chicken.
