    4/3 lens compatibility

Can anyone advise on the compatibility (by adapter) of the Leica D Vario-Elmarit 14-50mm f/2.8-3.5 Lens? I believe I've read that some 4/3 lenses don't auto-focus, but not really sure.

    Thanks in advance,

    John

According to Panasonic it is a MF lens only when mounted to the G1 (I guess your question is about the G1 after reading your macro-bokeh-nonsense post). When used with the G2 and GH2 some, but limited and probably slow, AF operation is possible.

    Check this site:
    Code:
    http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/connect/g1.html
and then just change the file name if needed.

BTW Panasonic Summilux 25 mm f1.4 works 1A with E-P1, connected via DMW-MA1

As a confirmation, my PanaLeica 14-50 is manual-focus only with my G1 and GF1, but will autofocus -- somewhat slowly, bit accurately -- on both my E-P1 and E-PL1 bodies. It also balances well on the E-P1 body, making the two a very usable combo.
