NIPON adapter for Canon lenses

Today arrived my NIPON adapter EOS-m4/3 with aperture control, half price ($99) of (same) KIPON adapter ($199)

It works fine with my m4/3 cameras. Mounting with m4/3-NEX adapter shows (as awaited) vignetting. Caused by bigger (APS-C) sensor und plane of aperture.

aperture almost open

aperture almost closed

Wrong ... adapter is also vignetting with m4/3, but only with tele and almost closed aperture.

I could read, adapter is not suited for Canon EF-S lenses. This is not true, look my last two pictures made with Canon 50mm / 1.8 II -- this is a EF-S lens

Vignetting with GH1 + Sigma 18-200 @ 200mm und almost closed aperture

open aperture a little bit:

GH1 + NIPON + Canon 50mm / 1.8 II (EF-S)

I don't use Canon now and my memory might err, but an EF 50/1.8 II... I don't think it is an EF-S lens.

So, Nipon a rip-off Kipon? from your images it look exactly the same.

You're right ... it's an EF lens!

It seems NIPON adapter ~ KIPON adapter :D
