Lens hood for Olympus 12 f2 & 45 f1.8

Hi Roanjoh

The hood for the 12 f/2.0 may be found at Amazon by typing "Olympus 12mm f/2.0 hood" or "Olympus LH-48 lens hood" into the search field.

I bought my 12mm f/2 metal lens hood on eBay. It is not the real thing but looks pretty much the same, appears to be well made and was around 1/3rd the cost.

I found a good one for the 45mm...

Lensbaby makes one: 37mm to 52mm. It acts as both a lens hood and a step up ring so I can use my 52mm filters.

Works out quite well. It may not be quite as deep as I would desire, but it provides good coverage and protection.

Hi Roanjoh

B&H, in New York City, now seems to list the hoods for both lens but are currently out of stock. Here are the links.

THANKS!

For a >$700 lens, Olympus sure have guts charging $89 for a lens hood!! The Pan-Leica 25 1.4 came with a lens hood and its less than the asking price of the 12!

:wtf:OLYMPUS!

FWIW I used a 46-52 mm step-up ring and Nikon HN-2 hood from a 28mm lens on my Olympus 12mm. Works well. The adapter was $7 and I had the hood on hand, so price was right.
