    Unusual stereo rig

    Came across this shooter and established that the rig is for stereo or 3D image projection. She has 2 Panasonic LX5's bolted on and the top camera moves via a slider to the user preference. Never seen anything like this before!

    This is a clever set-up, using a pellicle mirror. It provides a variable stereo spacing in the range of (apparently) 20-60mm. That would not be achievable if the cameras were mounted side-by-side.

    That's how Peter Jackson is shooting The Hobbit in 3D. Cool rig.

    Did you get her name or a website or anything? I'd love to see the build process or some results clips.
