Stars with a G3 and a 12/2.0

Hi to everybody,

this is my first post and I am glad to participate to this great forum.

Here are some pictures I took some days ago with a Panasonic G3 and an Olympus 12mm /2.0 on a tripod.

You will notice Orion, Jupiter and Venus. Unfortunately it was a little cloudy some days ago.

:)

Very nice! How long were your exposures? You mentioned having the camera on a tripod, was it a tracking mount? I don't see any star trails here, so either it was a relatively short exposure or some way to compensate for the rotation of the earth.

Amazing the wide field astro photos that can be taken with digital cameras these days...well done!

Thanks Ekoe and Thanks Gary,

the exposures were 20 seconds, ISO 640, f/2.0

No coma at all or ghosts with the Olympus 12mm. :)

Here, some others with the 12 and the 45mm and the 20mm.
