On second thought, if we squared off the existing sensor it would be 3/3 (from 4/3) so it would be 9MP. Therefore a FF square sensor would be 36MP. Right? :confused:

Simon, that sounds right. So in theory it is possible and we just have to wait for it to happen.

I do like the idea to have a lot of pixels for a sunny day. (or is that a ranny day?)

we do have the ranny ones ahead
