I always read your context notes. Enjoyed the story--and as I read it I wondered if the 2 musicians were thinking of the story of Joshua Bell playing in the metro in DC and no one stopping or listening (as they smiled at each other).

I like the image as is without knowing the context, but it did add more to it for me.

That's a great story.

It was really a grand moment. The music was beautiful, I wished I had my sound recorder with me, it's on loan this week. I've got to start carrying it more often...

I had a nice walk in the woods on Boxing Day, took the E-620 + ZD 14-54mkII for a change, a lovely combination of power and portability... all developed from raw using DxO Optics Pro v6 - very impressed with the image quality with no fuss.

I adjusted the shadow richness and reduced for web using Lightzone.

This was my original concept/vision of the scene that became the diptych I posted yesterday.

For me, the diptych has much more visual appeal. I like the human element (nice timing on the stride), the "there/not there/where's she going?" thing that happens, and I prefer the B&W.

Street Guitar

Panasonic G1 + Konica Hexanon AR 40mm f/1.8
ISO 1000 @ f/1.8 @ 1/100 second

Visited the Santa Cruz Pacific Garden Mall last evening. It was delightfully warm and comfortable out, the cafes and shops were full of people and there was lots of street musician activity. This guy was a kick, he played his guitar with gusto and was hopping all over the place.

comments always appreciated, thanks for looking!

Took the dog out for a hike at a local beach. There was a storm comings and the dark skies contrasted nicely with the bright ice plants which were VERY colorful
