Hmm. Now I really would like to get one and try it. What adapter (seller) are you using with the lens?

Hi, butterdada. I was confused, I really tried hard to reach the very end of the infinity.
How comes the rear element just touch the square part in front of the sensor?

I am using jinronfinance's adapter, is it the main problem? I still doubt about it.

But there is already a press mark on the square part.
May be the screw thread not exactly in the center. Really headache......

... it's the lens design that's the problem, not the adapter. ask butterdada if his copy of the Navitron 75mm 1.3 can focus to infinity at f/1.3 (which I doubt)...the picture he posted is stopped down.

Yes, that's what I doubt . F5.6 start to get sharp, F8 seems no problem.
I have compared the image between out and in focus at F1.3 that the
image present quite different. F1.3 produces soft image but not out focus blur.
You may see this picture. I turn the lens to infinity and you can see rear element.
The metal ring seems quite thin and need extreme care. I think 0.5mm trimming may be enough to make the thing totally different.

Re: My DMC-G1 with manual focus lenses

You have to remove the metal ring and then it is possible to glue the rear Lens element in place...as it is retained on the sides by the lens barrel and there is a spacer insert to seat the element square.

I don't know... To me it seems as it doesn't focus to infinity looking at this image. For example, to the left you have the terrace with a fence (if fence is the correct term, maybe it is a wall?) on it. It seems to be sharper somewhere in the middle of the image than in the distant parts, and that with pretty much similar distances between the fence and the middle of the sensor.

To me that would be no problem as I wouldn't use a lens´like this for landscapes wide open. If distant stuff can be reasonbly sharp with the lens stopped down it is good enough.

My friend Hawk modified it to Nikon mount. Then I used Nikon-to-4/3 & 4/3 to M4/3 double adaptor.

Re: My DMC-G1 with manual focus lenses

Butterdada, the edge performance of the Biogon appears to be very good from these web images, with the possible exception of this one. What is your experience in this regards with the full size images?

Re: My DMC-G1 with manual focus lenses

Some edges of the pics showed color changes.
It should be dark-angle in FF or R-d1s, not in M4/3 system.
I think it might be the biogon structure related.
Actually, its performance is really good enough.
I can show you more pics.

    Wonderful pictures, Butterdada!

My G1 is going to be delivered today and I have a Voigtlander adapter that should arrive later this week. I can't wait to get out with my collection of Leica glass!
