E-M1, E-M5, E-M5.2, etc. ... Peculiarities

My E-M1 Mark II has frozen up several times.
I don't recall all the details when that happened.
Taking the battery out of the camera solved the problem.
Taking the battery only out of the PBH didn't work.
However, when I unmounted and remounted the lens that unfroze the E-M1.2.
I have to keep an eye on that. No doubt the camera needs a firmware update.

Luckily I am already used to dealing with such issues, thanks to my Leica M9.:banghead:
Oh well, give 'em time.

Thanks Peter.

Maybe it is memory card related.

I use two Lexar 64GB sdxc cards.
One rated at 2000x, the other at 1000x.

Wow - spectacular shots, K-H
Thank you Bart. I formatted the 2 Lexar cards with their Image Rescue 5 app.
So far, so good! The E-M1.2 focuses really fast. If one is close enough then the camera even focuses on the intended subjects. I still have to learn how to generate a smaller focus area. Apparently to accomplish that one has to assign a button.

I'd say that 'Eye Priority' seems to be an option worth trying.
Question is if the camera is not getting confused ...

Thanks Bart, 'Eye Priority' seems to work well with humans.
Even with human faces (like politicians) on TV.
But I doubt it works with birds.
Is there irrefutable evidence for animals to the contrary?

Absolutely, 40 feet seems quite a distance for catching a little bird's eye.
But as I said: give it a try ...
Thanks Bart.
Well for humans Face & Eye Priority On first puts a white wire frame around human face(s) and then indicates focus on the nearest eye by putting a green wire frame around the eye.
One can even display a human face on a computer monitor, take a picture and get this behavior.
So far I have not observed this feature for animals. :banghead:

I don't think I could have achieved focus with my other cameras for the following 2 situations.

Focus on contrail.

Focus on faint cloud.
