the olympus ep2 seems to work with more autofocus lenses than the g1.
having said that, such wide angle zooms have so much depth of field, the focus is the least important bit. a 10mm f4 is like 20mm f8 on full frame, its like everything from 1 ft to infinity is in focus.
maybe if budget is a concern, then use the latest nikon g to m43 adapter that allows you to use dx zooms on m43 with aperture control. then you have access to many cheaper dx zooms in the market like the tamron 10mm to 24mm etc.
