Focus stacking with Olympus 12-40 2.8

Having just installed firmware 4.0 on my OMD5
M2, I've found the focus bracketing/stacking options are greyed out when the 12-40 is attached but operational when 60/2.8 attached. The 12-40 was recently acquired from HDEW cameras, and its a grey market job, with Olympus Polska on the box
Could this make a difference? The 12-40 is meant to be one of the compatible lenses

Could it be that you've got the focus ring shifted into Manual? (pull in for M, revealing lens's ring of distances ; push out for Auto)
