Olympus EM1.2 with Olympus PRO lenses

I spent 2 very beautiful weeks in Florida - Bonita Springs area - which is directly on the Gulf of Mexico. Very sunny, very humid, lot of rain etc.

The EM1.2 albeit a very "ancient" camera together with the 2.8/12-40 PRO and the 2.8/40-150 PRO were congenial companions during that trip and I must say I really love the results I can get with that combo, especially under some partially harsh conditions.

I must say that I really enjoyed this combination and it was way more than enough for all my photography needs during this vacation. There was not a single time where I would have desired to shoot a different system, let alone the weight advantages of m43 compared to and FF system.

The one thing I learned from this trip is that if I had the 4/12-100 PRO I could have shot with only that lens during the complete vacation that would have decreased weight and handling even more significantly.

The second thing I learned from this trip that I prefer the EM1.2 highly over the EM1X for this type of shooting as the EM1X would have simply been too large, heavy and obtrusive in all situations.

I had a 10 week trip earlier this year. I only used the EM1 2 and 12-100. It was an excellent combination. I also discovered that a tripod is no longer needed for travelling around. I also never left P and autoiso. Suddenly, travel with a camera has become a whole lot easier.

There are a stack of images from the trip on my FB page if you are interested.

Great images!
Last Year on a 2 week trip to Zakynthos Greece I only mainly used EM1.2+12-100 and a 17/1.8 (for the evening in the restaurants etc.)
The 12-100 is big but very flexible lens. Specially at the sea and beach its great not to have to switch lenses. I use it more often than the 12-40 now.

I usually take 17/1.8, 1.4 teleconverter and a macro ring with 12-40/2.8 + 40-150/2.8 combination. These items take almost no space and add just a little weight. All together it covers pretty much all generic and most of specialized needs for my photography.
