    Hello f6cvalkyrie,
Thanks for your positive feedback. By the way, your morning photo walk shots are splendid. Here is one more night flight image. Best regards, Leica 77 G1 with Kitlens 14-45mm

Leica77, that first shot in Tokyo is really nice--I like the point of view---interesting visual shot. And--the 2 night shots are very cool---no context to understand WHAT they are, but they sure make you look more than once.

Enjoyed all the new posts! Rafael, leica77. Scho, Diana and others.
Still have some from "Konininginnedag" in Amsterdam.

This guy had some filters for sale. This was one of them. Just hold it in front of the lens.

    Nobody is looking!

    That's nice Diana.
No, b & w sort of never crosses my mind, because I really love colours.
Should try it, it fits street photography so well and there is such a great tradition in it. Probably afraid I can't live up to that high standard.

    Re: G1 with kitlens 14-45mm - show yours !!!!

I just got my G1 today and I love it. I have a Voigtlander Leica M adapter on its way and can't wait to use my Leica lenses that have been sitting idle for way too long. I started using Leicas in the early '70s, but have been shooting only digital for the last five years.

Here are a couple samples taken this evening with the 14-45. Nothing terribly special ... or good, but first.

    Re: G1 with kitlens 14-45mm - show yours !!!!

Beautiful mountain photos. Our southeastern US mountains are so different (and SO different from our western mts.). This is from the summit of Mt. Mitchell, our highest peak east of the Mississippi River--6,684 feet--taken last week (they don't call them the Blue Ridge Mts. from nothing). I have more mt. pics that I need to process. Taken with the 14-45 (I had my 5D system with me but only carried the G1/lens with me to the top).

This was taken quite a bit lower altitude wise--about 2 weeks ago when I found that there still was no leaf out and dropped down to find some subjects. This is Table Rock--well known uprising cliff-all granite.

Raf, you could jaunt over to Tripper's part of the world *smile*. I've never been to the English Lake District, but just find the rolling hills there with the stone 'hedges' (I just read that the stone walls are referred to this way) beautiful.

Diane, I live about 200 miles away from the Lake District but you are right it is very beautiful but unfortunately is rains an awful lot, thats why it's full of.....er....lakes.

This one's from another beautiful place...Scotland.

I have two G1 's , a blue and a black one . The black one is for use with my KONICA HEXAR RF lenses only . (NOVOFLEX adapter) .
Last week I got the HASSELBLAD lens adapter .
I can not show any images yet but I call that combo DAVID AND GOLIATH .

I do love the standard zoom lens . The images are not razor sharp but have a wonderful charm .
Here an example with rotten stuff .

I do love this thread . It shows so many good images .
I do not regret the investment into this camera .

An other one with just the standard zoom .
I never liked zooms , but for street photography its essential .

    Jurgen,
I am looking forward to your g1/Hasselblad images. I have been putting some of my Mamiya lenses on the G1 (4/3-micro 4/3 stacked with 4/3 to Nikon stacked with Nikon to Mamiya adapter).
Your kit zoom examples are lovely. "Charm" is a good word to describe what I see from the kit zoom. Photos do have a certain look.
I'm still very happy to have the G1. It has a wonderful feel in my hands. I'm looking forward to the micro 4/3 technology as it progresses.

It is very difficult to describe .
If you ever took images with MF folder cameras from the late 1950 s , then you will understand what I mean with charm .
It is of course depending very much from the lens brand .
Lets take the SCHNEIDER XENAR 3,5/80 in my FRANKA SOLIDA .
Images taken with this camera turn out sharp , but not razor sharp . They show a kind of warm softness , as if you would have usesd a
    SOFTAR 0,5 .
Also the contrast is not that high .
I found the very same with the MAMIYA 180mm lens for the C330 camera .
This lens is best for portraits with "charm" . Unfortunately , I sold that camera many years ago .

None of the HASSELBLAD lenses show this "charm" . They are all designed for maximum sharpness and good contrast .

A very good morning to you all

Jerry, were you standing in a unbalanced small boat? Looks like the netherlands. Great perspective!

Godfrey, I very much like the composition. Straight forward and good.

And tripper too, great perspective and coloured sky with a title on the boat!
    Well done

I am so glad people are quietly getting on with taking interesting photographs.

Totally agreed. The above images are just lovely.

Wish it would stop raining in the 'sunny' south LOL. Its a major deterrant to shooting--not wanting to get in the car and drive to an area to shoot only to spend the time holed up waiting for it to stop torrential rain, for tornado warnings to cease or to be sure roads are safe enough to drive over with all the flooding.

But then, the several year very dire drought has ceased. Always a silver lining.

    Thank you!

I agree. There's only so much 'new camera fantasy' I can take. Photos always rise to the top. :-)
