Fun with Olympus EM1.3

I've had my EM1.3* since Monday March 16th and have fallen in love with it.. I have three P-Leica F2.8-4 zooms--the 8-18, 12-60, and 50-200--with an Oly 25/1.2 Pro on the way.. I think LOTS of my fun is in assembling/configuring this system into a highly capable LIGHT-WEIGHT one.. My prior Think Tank Airport Takeoff rolling bag filled with my fullframe system weighed as much as 30 pounds (14 kilos); my new, smaller Airport Advantage bag weighs only 20 pounds (9 kilos) fully loaded including the 7" HD monitor and mounting bracket.. That 10-pound reduction is a big deal for me with a weight-restricted replaced right-shoulder joint. :)

One key for me this time is that over the few years since my last Oly I discovered what I call all-around L-brackets and got one thru Amazon...
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G77Q9W1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It allows me to get all three of my fingers on the grip instead of having my little finger waving about in the air or on the BOTTOM of the camera...and without the weight and bulk of a batterygrip.

Here are some pics of my 7"-monitor system.. I assembled it--with the help of a goodbuddyfellofotog--several systems ago, and it works VERY well with the EM1.3 while focusing manually.. The monitor is a 7" 1920x1080 Aputure V0Screen VS-1 FineHD.. I believe that model is now discontinued, but I saw a few used ones around.

The bracket is composed of a Kirk Long Rail Plate, a couple small A-S-type clamps, and a quarter-inch screw and locknut.. The monitor uses Sony-type-NP batteries; I have three large ones and one small.

HHHR and the ND filter thing would be most compelling advantages over II for me but not got the budget at the moment. I find myself increasingly using the ISO64 setting - just like when I used K/E 64.

Have shot enough by now with Hand-Held High-Resolution mode to determine that it's quite beneficial in increasing resolution and reducing noise; it has become my preferred shooting mode when the subjects aren't moving.

Also, I bought two Olympus F2.8 Pro lenses, the 12-40 and 40-150 to replace two of my Leica 2.8-4s, the 12-60 and 50-200.. (The Leica 8-18 is definitely a keeper.). They arrived this afternoon and in spite of being underdressed for the cooler-than-expected temps and breeze, I shot both enough to quickly appreciate their optical qualities.. The 12-40 especially impressed me; here are a couple shot with HHHR.

I am REALLY impressed with this EM1.3 system. ... :D

I haven't seen much chatter about the 50-200, which is something I consider would complement & arguably replace my 30-100/2.8 (which I like). What led you to swap? (Of course, the 12-40 is good, though it seems some might favor the 12-100 (this would overlap my lenses's reaches), but then so too was the 12-60/2.8.

I had the 12-40 and 40-150.

I got rid of the 12-40 when the 12-100 came out as the way I shoot, the benefit of its longer range far outweighed the disadvantage of losing that 1 stop.

I then got rid of the 40-150 for the 50-200, once again for that extra reach, and importantly for ME it was lighter and smaller than the 40-150.

The only downside to that Panasonic/Olympus combination is that the zoom rings travel in opposite directions.

Any experience with AF with FT lenses?
KH the FT lenses( Little & Big Tuna, 50f2, PL14-150) works great with the EM1.3.
Took pics of birds, BIF and portraits.
These lenses did not work well with 1.2 n I took a chance by upgrading to 1.3.
Lucky it paid off.
Below Flickr link has images for your view. Look under TAG and the cam and lens used is indicated.

This afternoon's wander took me to the Granite Reef Reservoir, south of Red Mointain.

This is ENE of Phoenix.. Granite Reef Damn opens to lower the level of water in its reservoir.. The water runs down--westward--to Tempe Town Lake.. TTL then dumps its overflow again into the Salt River bed which then flows across Phoenix.
