Question G1 - focus mode dial

sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere ( I have searched) - on the G1 does it make any difference if the focus mode dial is set to manual focus when using an M lens? Should it be moved from normal AFS or AFC? - thanks

Set to MF to enable the focus assist mode of the LCD/EVF.

    Cheers,

    Phil,
You will need to set "Shoot W/O lens" to ON in the Custom Menu if you have not done so.

Thumbs up Re: G1 - focus mode dial

thanks for your comments and swift response - what I find is that the focus assist works just the same whether or not I set the dial to manual focus! I have set "shoot without lens". - regards, Phil

Yes, I have the same experience: the position of that dial doesn´t matter when shooting with other brand lenses on an adapter, so I just leave it where it is.
