Hmmm. On my monitor (calibrated), highlights have retained detail, and tonality doesn't look out of the norm for a small jpeg. Just for fun, (and to verify), I snipped the last photo of the blooms and brought it into Photoshop to look at the histogram. As I suspected, the histogram spans the full range, but shows no blown highlights or loss of shadow detail. So, I wonder what you might be seeing?
