I find this quite appealing. It's probably going to cost some money though.

I am pleased that someone is introducing a NEW higher end FILM camera.

Film is not dead.

I'm debating between this camera and a "classic" MF system.

Fuji Pros:

-can shoot different formats
-compact
-relatively inexpensive

Other systems Pros:

-interchangeable lens
-interchangeable backs
-some can shoot different formats as well

Yeah, Fuji gets my vote for most interesting company these days. Both in film and digital, they're doing very interesting things.

Valentin, it's a tough choice. I shoot the GW690III, and absolutely love it. But at 8 shots per roll, you find yourself wishing for a few preloaded backs, esp in bright daylight. On the other hand, the Fuji is incredibly light to carry and easy to shoot.

The high prices for the original Fujinon interchaeable lens for the g690 series may begin to fall now that there is an option for a more modern camera system.
